me: with my sunshine smile
and outgoing personality,
bright eyes and raven hair;
picking you up when you fall
and hiding my tears inside your
embrace. how you long to shout
quietly into my ears and
bite off communication.

you: with earphones blasted
on full volume, cut away from
the world; lost inside
music-your salvation-and the
missing link between you
and the outer world.

me: with shattered dreams
that cannot be forgotten
and living in make-believes;
wandering between the
crack of fantasy and reality.
